First Win: 5-14-2005
One of the drivers that will be in NASCAR for a long time is Kasey Kahne. Kasey has had success in the Cup series and seems to be on the verge of becoming one of NASCAR’s elite drivers.
At the age of 17 Kasey started driving open wheel Sprint Cars in Washington. By 2004 Kasey was a full time NASCAR Cup driver and won the Raybestos Rookie of The Year Award. Kahne’s first Cup victory came the following year in 2005 which coincidentally was the first victory for Dodge since their return to NASCAR. Continuing his steady career progression, Kahne qualified for the Chase in 2006 and ended the season eighth in the final points standings. In 2009 Kahne joined Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) and continues to be one of the most marketable drivers within NASCAR.
