Jimmie Johnson

Born: 9-17-75
Team: Hendrick Motorsports
First Win: 4-28-2002
Jimmie Johnson is NASCAR’s top driver right now. He’s won a record 4 consecutive Cup Championships, a feat never before accomplished in NASCAR. Jimmie started racing motorcycles as a young boy and progressed through different racing series to become one of NASCAR’s most prominent drivers.
Most would agree that one of the contributing factors in Jimmie’s success at the Cup level is because of his Hendrick Motorsports team. Jimmie’s crew chief, Chad Knaus is regarded as one of the sharpest minds in NASCAR. Throw in the Hendrick Motorsports experience and knowledge, and it’s quickly apparent that this is one of the best all around teams in motorsports.
Jimmie Johnson is also involved in extensive charity work. In addition to starting the Jimmie Johnson Foundation, he also has worked with the Make a Wish Foundation.
Jimmie Johnson will without a doubt be regarded as one the all-time greats in NASCAR history. As impressive as his resume is right now, it’ll probably get better.
